A rather personal post
I've got quite a personal post today. A post about anxiety, heartache, discovery and in the end, immense satisfaction.
Another novel
I love the 'new feels' of starting a new book. It's exciting, fun, and the possibilities are endless. Trouble is, those feelings don't always hang around.
Launch of The Shearer's Wife
I'm really excited that my 15th novel is coming out in early November. I know I say this often, but if you'd told me 11 years ago that I would write one novel, let alone 15, I'm not sure I would have ever believed you!
A Question for you. Do you love your library?
When I was a kid, I used to spend recess and lunch in the library.
I guess there are a few of you who think that's a bit geeky and boring; for me, it was anything but.

'Have you put on sunscreen?' Mum always used to ask as I headed out the door to ride my bike or go swimming.
I hated sunscreen.
To re-read or not?
To re-read or not? That is the question!
You can probably see from the creases in the spines of these books that they've been handled a lot. I mean, a lot!
Do you want an early copy of STARTING FROM NOW?

Where the River Runs - a special sneak peek
I'm sure you all know that Where the River Runs is coming very soon! 1st of November, in fact. About six weeks. BUT... Here's your chance to be the first to read a sampler of Where the River Runs. YAY!
The senselessness of sabotage — berry tough times
There is a Facebook photo with a picture of a strawberry saying: ‘Cut ‘em up, don’t throw ‘em out. Please continue to support Aussie Farmers through berry tough times.’ What a great campaign created through horrible circumstances.
How to teach an L-plater to drive. Is it over yet?
A few months ago, we had another L-plater enter the house. The older daughter is already a P-plater, so I’d had my fair share of hanging out of the passenger’s seat; knew what it was like, what directions to give, how to be calm and soothing when really all I wanted to do was scream.
What does the word 'drought' mean to you?
Having been a farmer for twenty years, I can tell you what the reality of drought is: it’s dry, dusty paddocks, with little or no grass. It’s dams that have nothing but mud in the bottom; sheep or cattle getting stuck as they search for water.
