I have very important information you must read ...
I've been a little quiet on the blog for the last couple of months - there has been a reason why! It's been busy!
So, my very important information. What is it?
GIVEAWAY of my latest book - The Missing Pieces of Us
In April, I'm branching out into General Women's Fiction with The Missing Pieces of Us. It's been so much fun to write this story about Lauren, her daughter Skye and Tamara. All women who face serious challenges in their lives.
Pre-order my latest novel, The Missing Pieces of Us!
I can't tell you how excited I am to be releasing my first women's fiction novel, The Missing Pieces of Us. It will be available on the 29th of March 2017, but you are able to pre-order now.
That crazy time between Christmas and New Year's
That crazy time of the year in between Christmas and New Year, when no one seems to know what day it is, has passed us by once again!
Hand-me-down recipes - a wonderful heirloom
Hand-me-down recipes from previous generations are a wonderful heirloom. I love it when we get to Christmas time, and I can open my old, tattered, food-stained, handwritten recipe book and start cooking food from my Nana or Aunty.
What a difference a year makes. So much change.
What a difference a year makes. This time in 2015, my daughter and I were hanging out in Melbs waiting for the last concert in the Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour. Do you know it feels like a lifetime ago, yet I can remember everything so clearly.
This is how I roll and generally get about ...
The last couple of days have included a few strange ways of getting around the place! Normally I drive a very nice Nissan Patrol Wagon - very comfortable, fuel-efficient, and very 'normal'.
My book recommendations for 2016 (ideas for gifts)!
I wish I'd read more this year - but then again, most readers probably say that. My to-be-read pile, next to my bed, my bookshelf and chair in the lounge seem rather large.
It's only one month out until Christmas Day ...
My local supermarket has been decorated with tinsel and Santa’s for the last three weeks – much to my horror. Has anyone got ANY idea HOW much I have to do between now and Christmas? I’m sure you’re all the same.
Where secret paths lead - mysterious, wild, and stunning!
Have you ever read the book The Secret Garden? I fell in love with that book: the mystery and wildness of the garden, the secrets within such a grand old house and of course the unexplained cries in the middle of the night.
Fireworks clouds, wildflowers and kids leaving home...
Don't these clouds look like fireworks gone wrong? Actually, I can't say that, because in all the fireworks I've seen, I wouldn't have a clue if they'd gone wrong or not! Anyhow, when I looked up at these, that was the first thing I thought of.
Gift packs are available for Christmas, get in quick!
I read somewhere yesterday that Christmas was 40 sleeps away. That's a serious 'WTH' moment for me! I really can't tell you where this year has gone!
Join me, I'm off on a blog tour for Sapphire Falls!
Welcome to my beautiful new website! Just in time for Sapphire Falls to get a bit of a run here! I'm off on tour... A virtual one. Here's where I'll be.
Behind the scenes of Indigo Storm - see what inspired me
My new book Indigo Storm was inspired by a road trip I took in July 2015. Before we left, I had an idea of what story I wanted to tell, but it had been a long time since I'd spent any long periods of time at my childhood home and explored the surrounding areas.
Ta Daaaa! Introducing my 7th Novel, Indigo Storm
I didn't know I was any good at writing, and I certainly didn't think I'd still be at it seven books later! I guess I've always harboured a fear that one day I'd get caught out and someone would realise that I couldn't write and I was really just a fraud!
2015 is done and dusted - some of my favourite memories
We had some great times in 2015, and I thought it would be fun to look back over the good times. It makes me realise that 2015 wasn't quite as bad as I thought it was! And it reminds me of the things I've learned over this year.
New Year's resolutions - do you make them? What's yours?
Happy New Year!
Has it been a good start for you? We spent the evening at the foreshore in Esperance having tea with friends and watching the fireworks. It was a really pleasant way to see in 2016.
Calling all writers: The Making of Your Manuscript
CALLING ALL WRITERS!
So now I'm not farming full-time; I need to put all of my efforts into writing. I sat down with a friend to map out my next twelve months, and we came up with an idea to run a Writer's Workshop.
Indigo Storm, Summer sun and lots of fun
Indigo Storm, my next book, has been taking my time away from here - I had a deadline which I didn't make... THREE times! Finally, right on the death knock of November, I managed to get the finished product into Allen and Unwin for editing.
