Recovering intimacy after prostate cancer
I don’t know if you remember, but a while ago I announced Fleur’s Inner Circle. This is like a social media platform, but not one that is at the whim of algorithms or Meta (who wants to steal all our data). I own the platform, and it’s a really safe space for us to meet and chat and create community and connection. Most importantly, it’s FREE for all of you.
I started Fleur’s Inner Circle because I believe deeply in conversation, connection and community.
I want people to be and feel like they are seen and heard. Why? Because I spent twenty years not being seen. Not being heard and being forced down into a shell of the person I was. I was a doormat.
I’ve spent fourteen years trying to claw my way back. It’s so important to me that everyone has a community.
This community, Fleur’s Inner Circle, is for you all. Shaped by you all. So tell me, what do you all need or want in this community? I’ll do my best to supply it for you. It doesn’t have to be deep and meaningful. It might just be that you want a conversation for ten minutes. Easy, we can do that via the live function. A bit like a Zoom catch-up. Perhaps you want tips on growing roses or what books to read. That’s easy too. Nothing is too big or too small, too easy or too hard. Just let me know.
Over in Fleur’s Inner Circle, every Thursday at 9:30 WA time, I jump online for a chat and a cuppa. I’m calling it Smoko with Fleur. You can ask any question you want, talk to me, all the while having a cuppa.
And once a month, I bring in a specialist to talk to us. Not just about books, loads of different things. This month, Melissa Hadley Barrett is speaking to us on the recovery of prostate cancer and how to get back intimacy. Everywhere I turn at the moment, I’m hearing of someone I know being diagnosed with prostate cancer, and I’m hearing how tricky it is to navigate the space after the fact. If you’d like to learn more about Melissa, click here.
Melissa is also the founder of the podcast The Penis Project, which is one of the most listened to podcasts in this space.
In August, we’re going to have a Financial Advisor speak. All of the specialists are willing to take your questions and give broad advice. (With all the normal caveats of ‘this advice is of a general nature, etc., etc!)
