Percolating and Daydreaming

When I was on tour for WITHOUT A DOUBT, I came across this blue door (pictured on the computer screen). I was sitting in a narrow alleyway, drinking coffee (because I'm a bit like Detective Dave and nothing happens in the morning until I've had my coffee), when I saw it.

Hasn't it got the feel of mystery about it?

Now I've finished writing my 14th novel, it's time to start the next one, tentatively titled WHAT SHE KNEW - don't get attached to that title; more often than not, they get changed!

I feel this door has to have a spot in WHAT SHE KNEW, so I'm 'percolating' (another word for daydreaming) about how it can fit in.

You haven't met Zara yet, but she is the main character in the November novel, STARTING FROM NOW, and there's a reason she gets to stay around for the next book... But I can't tell you what it is, you'll have to read it!
