I’m sitting in my office this afternoon with Rocket, my Jack Russell dog, at my feet.
The wind outside is howling and intermittent rain showers are coming up from the coast. The fire is going and as many clothes as I can hang in front of it are drying. The puddles outside are growing larger and the ground more soggy.
This is what winter is all about!
When the sun breaks through I can see a slither of blue, just for a moment, before another huge white cloud plunges us into dimness once more.
These are my favourite days; great for reading, writing and snuggling up in front of the fire with a hot chocolate… Nice thought, but seriously, who has time to do that?
I’m busy researching Silver Gums and finishing off the last of my GST, (yes I’m late).
Tomorrow this front will have passed and we’ll be back to the sheep yards, but I have to admit I’m enjoying my nice, quiet day inside the house today.
“These are my favourite days; great for reading, writing and snuggling up in front of the fire with a hot chocolate… Nice thought, but seriously, who has time to do that?”….so true!! Love that line.
Great photo. I love days like that, too. 🙂
