Last week I wrote about a needing to write two books at at time to make my deadlines. I was getting involved with NaNoWriMo to help do this. Deciding to spend one week on each book, would mean I should get about 25k into each book by the end of November.
Best laid plans and all that!
I only managed 2,500 words to the first book in a week, however, what I did work out in that time, was a lot of characters and the title of the new novel; 54 Seaton Lane. My white board went from having one name on it to six names and a heap of notes like: CCTV, dash cam, voice recorders, and the really important question. ‘Who was where at the wrong time?’ That’s certainly got my creative juices flowing.
Today after a trip to the farm, I’m starting on the next one. I have the main character. Her names Mia Cook and I’m waiting for the rest to flow through. I wonder if I’ll get as many ideas and names for this next one I’m about to start…
Esperance has had its fair share of thunderstorms recently. Harvest has been stop/start over the last couple of weeks and it looks like it’ll continue like that for a couple of weeks. Last week this storm went through and dropped a bit of rain around the place. Then it frightened the dogs, with its continual rumblings and left again! As all good thunderstorms do.
