The Variety Club Bash comes with a reputation of hard working, fun loving people who love raising money for kids. So when they rolled into Condingup, this morning, for breakfast, we knew we were all in for a good time!
I’m not sure how many four wheel drive cars rolled in, but they were covered in mud, flags and aerials. Their roof racks were filled to the brim with swags, spare tyres and other camping paraphernalia!
The ‘Bashers’ had a breakfast of bacon, eggs, baked beans, scrambled eggs and pancakes, all served with various sorts of homemade sauces and jams. Gill Inkster did an amazing job of coordinating us all and my mates, the ‘other McDonalds’ (!) were galley slaves, bringing their BBQ’s and their whole kitchens!
The Bashers also donated a $2,000 book voucher to Condingup Primary School. We were overwhelmed with their generosity.
Thanks to: Amanda, Angie, Jo, Taryn, Sue, Nev, Justine, Heath, Gill, Craig, and all of the kids, who did a brilliant job of serving and making our visitors welcome.
Fabulous to see! Cannot beat country hospitality and I know the breakfast would have been superb … great chefs 🙂 You are all certainly lovely people there in that magically beautiful part of the world.
