The kids and I were out in the garden this morning. It was shaping up to be a beautiful day, with brilliant blue skies, a gentle breeze and a forecast for rain. I hadn’t taken much notice of the latter; I couldn’t see a cloud anywhere!
But out of nowhere, the breeze picked up, bringing the gorgeous smell of rain, with it. On the horizon, the purple clouds, that had suddenly appeared, were closing in quickly.
It only took minutes to get to us and as the rain bucketed down, cold on the backs of our necks and soaking us through, we rain around trying to get the clothes off the line, put the lawn mower under cover and take CD player inside!
Then we stood at the window and watched the rain fall, thankful that it keeps falling!
Gorgeous capture of the approaching rain – love the contrasting colours, Fleur. 🙂 xx
I love the look of the sky right before it rains. There’s something about the lead up to a storm that always leaves me in awe. Nature at its volatile and beautiful best!
