What are you reading?

Three books standing up, spines out, on a desk

Do you remember a couple of blogs ago, I was saying I had to create some new habits, one of which included making more time to read.

Writing two books a year, I sometimes find it hard to make sure I'm up-to-date with my reading pile. What about you?

So my new habit is to read in the morning. I've always been an early riser - stems from life on the farm. Early to bed and early to rise, as my Nana used to say. Plus, dawn is always the best time of the day.

I get up at 4:30 and head out, with my cup of tea, to sit underneath a tree, book in hand. Using my timer on the phone, I read for half an hour, then write in my journal for another half an hour, before heading off to my PT session or for a swim. I also make sure to go to bed early enough to read for another half an hour before I go to sleep.

Routine to my creative, messed-up mind is just a pain, but I've worked out that I'm not as productive as I could be without it. These early morning rises start the day very peacefully, and I'm loving this new habit I've created.

These three books are what I’m reading at the moment. What are your recommendations?
