In with old...

A beautiful old green Remington typewriter

Check out this beauty! I was lucky enough to be given it by a friend yesterday. I've fallen in love with the old keys and the noise they make.

We think the white paint on there is whiteout. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could clean that off?

I wonder how many stories have been typed on this old girl - what genre they were, what plot. I feel there's as much mystery about a machine like this as there is in old fence lines, cemeteries and Churches.

Who's got a plot that could have been written on this old girl?

Have to say, though, I'm glad I don't have to type my books out on her. There wouldn't be two books a year happening if this were my equipment! But... Dave would know how to use her and would be really comfortable with his fingers on these keys, being a techno-dunce, he claims to be!
