Launch of Purple Roads

Saturday was the launch of Purple Roads. Wow! What a day.

Mum and Dad came over for the big day and as soon as they got here, I put them to work, putting stickers on bags and filling them with goodies, such as shopping lists, bookmarks and stubby holders. This seems to take time and as I still had all the washing and preparation for the rest of the week to do, I was pleased they arrived with a couple of days to spare! (No rest for the wicked!).

Launch of Purple Roads at Condingup Fair

It was really important for me to have Mum and Dad there; if you read the acknowledgements and dedication, you’ll know that Purple Roads really only exists because of them.

Thanks to all the Condingup P&C Community Fair committee who organised such an awesome day. I hear there were 700 cars through the gates, so we should have hit over 1,200 people!

Many of those people swung by the Le Grand Bookshop stall to say ‘hi’ and pick up a copy of Purple Roads – I am so grateful to you all. And a big thanks to Jim and Gayle from the bookshop for coming out, setting up and making it so easy for me.

In the last week of April, I’m heading off on a tour of WA and SA and in the next week or so I’ll be getting back to you with all the places I am going to be visiting.

Really looking forward to getting out there and catching up with as many of you as I can.

I also just want to say a quick thank you to all of you who have already bought Purple Roads; you are the reason I do this and your feedback is so important to me. Thanks for investing your time in reading my books – I so hope you enjoy them.
