Aren’t Monday’s sometimes a bit hard to get warmed up to? Hopefully this will make your day, a great day!
First up, exciting news! It’s only six weeks until my new novel STARTING FROM NOW is released. You can preorder from Booktopia.
I’ve got to tell you, I’m very excited (and nervous) about releasing this book. I’ve created a new character, Zara, who I think is going to be around in a few books yet to come. I also deal with the issue of activists coming onto farms – pretty topical at the moment.
I love creating characters who hang around – Dave, Kim and Jack and the main ones, but occasionally Dave’s family gets a run too. I think you get to know your characters so much better, when they’ve been in more than one book.
Now, the REAL reason for this post is a giveaway!
I have three pre-loved books to giveaway; can you guess which ones they are just buy the tops of the covers? They’ve only been read once…
Australian residents only.
Comment in the section below; which is your favourite Fleur McDonald book and I’ll chose a random winner on Friday the 27th September.
I love them all and have now got my 15 year old (will be 16 on the 29th sept) but I am loving Without a Doubt as it is extremely captivating so far, I can’t wait to find out what happens.
Red dust couldn’t put it down, can’t wait to read some more of your books.
Blue Skies, as Blue is my favourite colour.
In saying that, I have enjoyed reading them all.
Red Dust, what’s an awesome beginning to a journey not only for your characters but for me also! I’ve gone from have never read a novel in 10+ years to reading Red Dust in just over 2 weeks. But now I can get through them in 2-3 days. And it’s also a great way to escape my life of anxiety and depression.
The Missing Pieces of Us, man this book hit me in the feels. Thanks for the chance to add to my collection
My favourite book would be…hmm. Actually I really enjoyed Sapphire Falls. For some reason it really stands out for me.
Indigo storm was an amazing peruse, enjoyed it thoroughly xx
I love Fool’s Gold because it is the only one of Fleur’s books I have read (my sister lent me her copy) and it left me wanting more! As a bit of a crime buff I loved the twist at the end and Dave’s investigation. It is fair to say I am hooked!
It’s hard to pick just one. My first pick that came to mine is Indigo storm with Sapphire Falls being very close behind!!
I know 2 of 3 books shown. But my favourite is Red Dust. It’s the first book I read of yours (Fleur’s) & it’s one I always suggest to any reader. Such a fantastic story.
I must confess that I have not read any yet. I only just a few days ago stumbled on a post in my Facebook feed promoting the new book, and thought this sounds like my kind of books! I have not yet managed to buy a book due to a severe drought in my finances, but look forward to being able to read my first one soon!
I must say I haven’t read for a little while but I have enjoyed all your books that I have read.Love the country feel when reading it’s like you are there with the characters.
Red dust would be my favourite, first one I read and I have loved every other one
Fools gold, indigo storm and the missing pieces of us .
Love reading all of your books, it’s hard to pick a favourite when they are all so good.
Red Dust is a beautiful novel I couldn’t put it down.
I have read most of your books, then I keep them in our bookcase to read again later. I like all the detail you write in your books, they are great reads.
I have read all, honestly can’t pick the best as all are a sequel. Yeh can’t wait for the new release
That’s a very hard decision to make as they are all great stories. The one that comes to my mind is sapphire falls. Thank you for all your stories and congratulations on the new release ?
I was hooked from your first novel but Sapphire Falls resonates with me. The strength of your characters and their realism is what I love the most. Can’t wait for your new novel.
The first l ever read was Purple Roads. So I’ll say that because it started my Fleur adventure. Just got my husband hooked with Red Dust lol
Sapphire falls. It drew my attention because my daughter is named Sapphire.
Fools gold and the missing piece of us. I have read all your newer books from sapphire falls on ? trying to track down the earlier ones to complete my set

Purple roads, because it was the first one I bought! Love red dust and fools gold ……ok stop I cant choose!!!
Indigo Storm, Pieces of Us & Fool’s Gold
Love all of them but my favourite is whichever one that I’m reading at the time ? which is currently Without A Doubt
Hi, I love your books. I’ve read a few, Red Dust, Silver Clouds and at the moment reading Sapphire Falls. So I would love to win Fools Gold, Indigo Storm & The Missing Pieces Of Us. Cheers Robyn
Sapphire Falls – I didnt want to put it down !
Books above are Fools Gold (still to get), Indigo Storm (still to be read) and The Missing Pieces of Us (still to be read).
I have enjoyed all your books that I have read so far. I still have to get some and have them on Christmas list for family to buy me. If I have to chose one I would have to say “Blue Skies” only as it was the first one I read so it was the book that got me to keep buying and reading more 🙂 .
I am one who tends to pick up books if the title or cover picture grab my attention rather than reading the story on back cover 🙂
I loved Purple Roads as this is the book that got me hooked into Fleur’s books. But my most favourite is The Missing Pieces of Us. It touched my emotions, so much that I didn’t want to end the book.
I loved Sapphire Falls. I would love to win these books. Thank you
The best book will be Starting from Now because it is a new one, and another one I can save up for and buy!
I love all the ones I’ve read so far, but still have a couple to go. They are great books Fleur, and I read them again and again…………………
Oh Fleur I would be thrilled to win any of your books! Pre loved would be just as amazing. Nothing like a well loved book I think.
For me it would be either Silver Clouds or Red Dust. Both amazing. Actually I love all of your books!
Thank you for the chance to win. Fingers crossed
I think that’s way to hard to say which one. Every book like Red Dust, Fools Gold, etc is worth the read. I can’t name a favourite as I totally enjoy every book I read. I look forward to the new book.
I’ve read most of your books and loved them all, but probably Fool’s Gold has been my favourite 🙂
I like reading any of your books but really enjoyed Sapphire Falls.
What a hard choice! I’ve loved pretty much all of your books, but especially Dave Burrows titles. Fool’s Gold was exceptional, Suddenly One Summer – I could go on 😉 Thanks for the opportunity Fleur 🙂 I’ll have everything crossed…
I was visiting the Pilbara saw red dog and seen silver clouds there in a shop in 2014:it started my interest in rural Australian books and have read all your books so thanks to silver clouds it has totally changed my reading
Loved all of your books, it’s hard to pick a Favourite, but maybe it is Sapphire Falls!! Thanks for all your Great stories!! 🙂
Fool”s gold! For so many reasons! I read it in an hour!
I love them all, but my daughter and I both really enjoyed Red dust!
Oh very hard I’ve loved them all. But if I had to choose provably red dust as it was the first I read and couldn’t put it down.
I love Detective Dave Burrows! I’ve really enjoyed getting to know him through the books dedicated to him!
Emerald Springs. Amelia was an interesting and determined character
I love all your books but I’ll say Red Dust.. and I’m waiting on Emerald Springs to arrive in the mail this week. .?thanks for all your hard work ?
Red Dust but I love them all
I have loved all of the books I have read……I can’t just pick one……but Dave would have to be the character I love the most.
