#Fleurreads
It’s been ages since I’ve been able to read. I’m not sure why, because it was my favourite of pastimes. I started to find it hard when I was under a lot of pressure; looking after a sick family member, then my marriage breakdown, so on and so forth! I found I had a distinct lack of brain power and ability to focus on anything. I’d never been like that before. In fact, I’d be able to curl up with a book and not move for hours, if it captivated me enough!
Luckily, it seems my mojo has reappeared because I’ve read four books in the last week; Her Pretty Face and The Other Wife.
I’ve loved these psychological thrillers. Actually, I love crime, mysteries, thrillers more than any other genre, but I also really enjoy a good saga, like Belinda Alexandra and Kate Morton produces.
So in celebration of me reading again, I’ve decided to create a new hashtag #fleurreads. (If you’re not following me on Instagram, then click HERE and follow away or on FACEBOOK!) This way you’ll be able to keep up with what I’m reading. You can also tell me if you’ve read the book already and what your thoughts on it were.
I’m always into recommendations, so let me know what you’re reading too, so I can add them to my list.
The next few books I’m hoping to read are:
- Any Ordinary Day by Leigh Sales (This isn’t realised yet, but I’ve preordered it)
- White Houses by Amy Bloom
Tell me, what are your favourite genres and what book are you reading at the moment?
