Check out this hall that I’m going to read over the next few weeks.
Have you read any of them?
I LOVE Kerry McGinnis’s writing so I think The Roadhouse is going to be the first one I start on.
The head of publishing at Allen and Unwin, Tom, suggested I read The Power of the Dog by Don Winslow. With an opening line of: ‘The baby is dead in his mother’s arms.’ I already know I’m going to love this book, because it raised the hair on my arms.
Of course Michael Robotham is one of my fav authors and anything of his is amazing, so I can’t wait to get stuck into Good Girl, Bad Girl. I heard a podcast with him the other day and he talked about the time where he was sitting having a coffee with his wife, but he wasn’t really with it. He was clearly lost in his mind with the story. His wife said to him: ‘You’re with HER aren’t you?!” How hilarious!
Unnatural Causes is sort of research but sort of appealing to my warped brain; stories of a forensic pathologist!
The other two, Eggshell Skull by Bri Lee and The Invitation by Belinda Alexandra have both been recommended so I can’t wait to get stuck into them.
I’ll be hoping over to Instagram to tell you all about what I think about these books, in time. #fleurreads will find my thoughts and @fleurmcdonald will find me on Insta.
I’d love more recommendations, if you have any. What are you reading and have you got any thoughts on what I’m about to read?
